Support the clinic

Free for families because others give

The clinic doesn’t charge families who qualify, so its lawyers, its guides and the phone line are paid for by grants and gifts. A small monthly gift covers the hours a lawyer spends reading one family’s file.

Giving isn’t the only way in. Parents who’ve been through this, retired teachers and lawyers with a spare week each year all make the clinic work.

  • Gifts pay for lawyers’ time, not for glossy extras

  • Volunteers are trained before they sit with a family

  • Referrals bring in the parents who most need us

Ways to help

Ways to pitch in

  • Give

Once or every month. Ask us how, and what a gift covers.

  • Volunteer

Sit with a parent at a meeting. We train you, and a lawyer is a call away.

  • Take a case

Lawyers can take one family’s case a year, with our guides behind them.

  • Spread the word

Hand a guide to a parent, a school social worker or a pastor.
