How it works

A case here, in five steps

Nothing happens without your say. You can stop after any step, and the first four cost you nothing.

  1. 01

Step 1: You send a few lines

Use the form, or call. Say what the school said and the date on the letter, if there is one.

  2. 02

Step 2: We check two things

Whether your household is under the clinic’s income guideline, and whether the problem is one we take. If not, we say so and try to point you elsewhere.

  3. 03

Step 3: A lawyer reads the file

You send what you have: notices, plans, reports, emails. A lawyer reads all of it before the first real conversation.

  4. 04

Step 4: We agree on the plan in writing

What we will do, what we won’t, and any outside cost we can see coming, such as a private evaluation. You decide before anything is spent.

  5. 05

Step 5: We act, and you stay in charge

Letters, meeting preparation, meetings, filings. You make each decision, and we explain what it means.

Costs: no fee to families who qualify. Outside costs, such as a private evaluation, are explained in writing first.

What a family brings

You bring the paper. We bring the rules.

Most parents arrive with a folder, a phone full of photos, or a pile on the kitchen table. That’s a good start. We sort it by date, find what the school has promised, and put it next to what your child is actually getting.

Then we tell you, in plain words, what we see, what we would ask for, and what we would leave alone.

  • A folder or phone photos are enough

  • Dates first, then promises, then gaps

  • Plain words, never legalese

Step one is two lines

Two lines is enough. We’ll take it from there.
