Who we can take on, and who we can’t
We help parents and guardians whose child attends a public school and whose household meets the clinic’s income guideline. We take cases about evaluations, IEPs, 504 plans and school discipline.
Other problems, such as custody, housing or immigration, we send to people who handle them, and we say so on the first call.

Before you send anything
What helps us most, if you have it
Send what you have. Missing pieces aren’t a reason to wait.
The letter or notice
Whatever the school sent, front and back. A phone photo works.
The latest plan
Your child’s IEP or 504 plan, and the last one if you still have it.
Reports
Evaluation reports, progress reports, report cards and test results.
Dates
The date on the letter, any meeting or hearing date, and when it first began.
Costs: free for families who qualify. If an outside cost could come up, we tell you in writing before you agree to it.
